John Collet

Director

John completed his apprenticeship as a carpenter in the early 1960′s in Canberra and pursued a career in estimating and Project Management with Citra Construction, a major international construction company at the time.

In 1979, he founded his own construction company – Collet Constructions Pty Ltd, and completed small to medium projects in the Canberra region for twenty highly successful years until joining with Greg Spencer to form Cercol Construction Services Pty Ltd in 1999. As Cercol, John and Greg then undertook major commercial and industrial projects, firmly establishing their new company in the construction industry.

Greg Spencer

Director

Greg began his building career after completing his carpentry apprenticeship in 1973, working as a contract carpenter for over ten years. In 1987 Greg established Canberra Commercial Carpentry and for twelve years he was responsible for the running and growth of the company, making it one of the leaders in major sub contract operations in Canberra and the Southern region, until joining with John to form Cercol Construction Services in 1999.

Greg has achieved his Advanced Diploma in Building and Construction Management and holds an A Class Builders License, which is a testimony to his experience and high regard in the industry. Greg also holds a NSW Builders Licence and is a member of Australian Institute of Builders.

Peter Henden

Senior Project Manager

Arriving in Australia in April 2011, Peter is Cercol’s English import. Having migrated to Canberra after successfully impressing the Cercol team, Peter has immersed himself not only in our building industry but also our culture. He is the 2013/2014 President of the ACT chapter of the Australian Institute of Building and has been awarded the status of Fellow for his work within the Institute.

Peter commenced his career as a trainee Contract Surveyor in 1984, in which time he gained vital skills and experience. After completing his Higher National Certificate in Construction, Peter took over the role of Project Manager. From here he worked on numerous Government projects, was promoted to Branch Manager by his employer company and successfully completed his building degree course with the Chartered Institute of Builders.

Having worked in the industry for over 27 years, Peter has a depth of knowledge ensuring successful delivery of projects within the public and private sectors, ranging from maintenance and small works to major schools, hospitals and church developments.

Peter also has an impressive portfolio of heritage works including the restoration and extension of a 13th century church to Canberra’s Old Parliament House and RMC Duntroon heritage properties.

Craig Grant

Senior Project Manager

Craig is the latest recruit to the Cercol team. He brings over twenty years’ experience in commercial construction to the job and has contributed to several award winning construction projects in the Canberra region.

Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics degree from the University of Canberra in 1994. He commenced his construction career in the Government sector, then worked for corporate property consultants before moving to roles with commercial and tier 1 builders. He has most recently worked as a construction and project manager for a large Canberra based subcontractor specialising in lightweight facades and commercial refurbishments.

Craig is a member of the Australian Institute of Building and currently holds an ACT Class A Builders Licence.

Tom Bellekom

Site Manager

Tom commenced working for Cercol in November 2011. He has extensive experience in residential and commercial construction, ranging from high-rise buildings with 77 storeys to low-rise projects with 3 storey walk-ups.

He is a qualified carpenter, fully certified in passive fire installations and has a Cert IV in Train the Trainer and Work Health and Safety.

Antonio Pochi

Project Administrator

Antonio joined the Cercol team in July 2014 on a part time basis as a building cadet. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Building and Construction Management/Bachelor of Law degree at the University of Canberra. He works alongside project managers providing support in the office and on site.
